Thermal Stability of Ti3AlC2 at Static High Pressure |

Abstract Thermal stability of Ti3AlC2 at static high pressure was dealt with in this paper. It was found that the lowest reaction temperatures of Ti3AlC2 were all between 700 and 800oC at pressures of 2, 3, 4 and 5 GPa, respectively, and the final products mostly were Al3Ti and TiC. The decomposition reaction processes depended on the pressure.
