Abstract  The α for different sintered glass-ceramic matrices in Li_2O-Al_2O_3-SiO_2andLi_2O-MgO-CaO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2 systems were studied.Some glass-ceramic matrices with appro-priate thermal expansion coefficient which can be used for preparing C-fibre or SiC-fibre
